Should that not be the case and the item(s) do not work out, make sure to exchange for a preferred style or return for a refund. As a reminder, return shipping for unused products is free but initial shipping costs will not be refunded.
We recommend for you to have 4-6 pairs of dais underwear at a time. This way, whist your worn pairs are washing and drying, you have enough spares to get you through your period. If you are a big traveller, you might want even more to get you through a whole trip without a washing machine.
We use all major carriers, and local courier partners. You’ll be asked to select a delivery method during checkout.
Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email letting you know that our fulfillment team has received your order. Once your order is fulfilled, you will receive an email notification with your tracking information. Shipping fees are non-refundable in the case of returns.
Yes, we ship all over Europe. Shipping costs will apply, and will be added at checkout.
dais period underwear can absorb 25ml of blood which is the equivalent to 4 regular tampons. dais bladder leak underwear can absorb up to 50ml of urine.
dais underwear should be rinced in cold water then machined washed at 40 degrees. They should be air dried. They should not cleaned with bleech or fabric softener.
We recommend to change your dais underwear once to twice per day. For example, before bed and in the morning when you wake up. If you have a heavy flow, you might need to change mid way through the day too. You will know when to change them as it will start to feel wet on the outer layer as the underwear is unable to absorb more liquid.
dais underwear do not feel like diapers- in fact they are very thin and are closer to normal everyday underwear than they are like diapers. They also do not make horrible sounds under the clothes, and cannot be seen when wearing under your normal clothes thanks to the seamless technology.
The top layer of the underwear is made from 95% cotton which very quickly absorbs the liquid to bring to the inner storage layer. The underwear may be wet for only a little while when the blood first comes into contact with the material and is very quickly pulled away from the body. If the underwear feels wet over time then it means it is full and it is time to change.
dais underwear are a great replacement for one time use products. Did you know that during a lifetime women can use up to 15,000 pads or tampons! With dais underwear you can save up to 98% waste.
dais underwear have unique leak proof edges built into the sides of the underwear to ensure that no urine or blood can leak out of the absorbent areas.
No! Our absorbent area is so thin it is less than 2mm which is as thin as a grain of rice. Additionally, all of our underwear is made using seamless technology to ensure that there are no VPL (visible panty lines) because we want you to feel great wearing whatever outfit you want to!
dais underwear can replace one time use alternatives such as tampons, pads, liners and adult incontinence pants. If used as per instructions and for the intended lifetime of the product, this results in a reduction in carbon emissions and equivalent as well as a major reduction in waste.
It is important for us to be transparent, and in order for our technology to work we need to use some plastic in our underwear- the nylon based products have the most plastic as nylon is a textile made from plastic (more specifically oil). If you want to be more consious of this, we suggest you go for our Staying In dais, For Teenage dais or For Maternity dais product ranges, as the main layer is made predominantely from organic cotton and therefore contains less plastic. In order to combat this use of plastic, we work with CleanHub, a renowned agency that allows us to reach our plastic neutrality goal. This means that for every gram of plastic we use in our sold underwear, we collect polluting plastics back out of the environment.
dais underwear are currenlty manufactured in China under strict externally audited production sites. As the majority of our sales are in Europe, we are looking to bring production closer to home- watch this space!
dais absorbent underwear
work based on a 4-layer technology in which plastic is utilized to ensure water and leak proofing- a commonly used technology for this product type.Working together with CleanHub, dais has been able to
neutralize the use of plastic in their underwear, making them the world’s first plastic neutral period underwear. Through this initiative, dais enables the fast collection and recovery of ocean bound plastic waste which supports clean environments and creates sustainable jobs in the global south. No, we do not use biocides in any of our absorbent underwear. We have experience of working with biocides in the past and so became aware of potential adverse consequences of using them. We therefore recommend some alternatives which we are more comfortable using to keep our underwear clean and maintain their condition over their lifetime.
We recommend to wash our underwear at a more eco-friendly maximum of 40 degrees celcius. To ensure bacteria and odours are properly handled there are a few things we recommend.
1. By using a liquid detergent rather than a powder there is a higher chance that the detergent is able to work as powders sometimes do not dissolve properly in a colder wash.
2. Most modern detergents are highly efficient even at colder temperatures however if you want to be sure that 99,9% of bacteria and viruses are killed you can use a laundry sanitizer. Simply purchase a bottle at your local shop and add as instructed to your wash. Please do not use any product containing bleach.
3. White vinegar (5%) is a great everyday disinfectant. Simply add half a cup to your machine wash.
dais underwear are a great option for sport however we do not recommend to go swimming in them as the liquid stored in the absorbent layer could start to wash out.
For those with sensitive skin we recommend buying our "for staying in dais" or "for teen dais" models for menstruation or our "for mum dais" for bladder leaks as the main material used in the underwear is cotton. However, all products have a 95% cotton based inner gusset which is the main material touching intimate areas.
dais underwear is perfectly suited for teens/ those having their first periods. We recommend to start with our Teens range which are best suited in terms of sizing, fit and colour. The material is made from 95% cotton and therefore is really breathable for teens/pre-teens to wear all day long.
For postpartum we recommend using the For Maternity dais product range. With a v-shaped cut, the underwear can adapt to a changing body shape. With an organic cotton based body, the underwear is also optimsed for breathability.
Yes, dais has two underwear types specifically designed to be used for bladder leaks. Check them out here.
