We do not use biocides or metals in any of our absorbent underwear. We have experience of working with biocides in the past and so became aware of potential adverse consequences of using them. We therefore recommend some alternatives which we are more comfortable using to keep our underwear clean and maintain their condition over their lifetime.

We recommend for you to have 4-6 pairs of dais underwear at a time. This way, whist your worn pairs are washing and drying, you have enough spares to get you through your period. If you are a big traveller, you might want even more to get you through a whole trip without a washing machine.

We recommend to change your dais underwear once to twice per day. For example, before bed and in the morning when you wake up. If you have a heavy flow, you might need to change mid way through the day too. You will know when to change them as it will start to feel wet on the outer layer as the underwear is unable to absorb more liquid.
